As part of our ongoing commitment to promote, support and educate about local agriculture, the Comox Valley Farmers’ Market and the North Vancouver Island Culinary Association will be hosting an information session, FoodFest Back to Basics- Holiday Feast Edition, on Saturday November 22, 2025.  The Chefs will be on site at the Native Sons Hall cooking up a delicious holiday feast using in-season vendor products and sharing their seasonal secrets with you, specifically how to produce a seamless turkey dinner without spending the big day stuck in the kitchen. This will be an event that you won’t want to miss as the Chefs will have your tastebuds wanting more.

As the festive season is fast approaching the Chefs will be demonstrating how to make a turkey dinner with all the fixings, including a desert, in approximately 1.5 hours.  You read that correctly 1.5 hours to make a delicious Turkey dinner.
Although this is not the “traditional” way that many of us have been taught to make this dinner and the presentation will be different that see on TV and in magazines, what it lacks in presentation it makes up for in flavour and time saving.  The Chefs will prepare 2 versions of Turkey dinner, an easy version as well as one that is a bit more involved but still very doable.

As we get closer to the event we will be posting more information including a demonstration schedule as well as recipes.
