TRANSCENDENT THRESHOLDS

Presented at CVAG from January 24 - March 14, the convergent program 'Transcendent Thresholds' draws on ways of knowing that understand change as cyclical, porous, and interconnected. Immersive video and sound experiences, sensorial installations, and multi-media artworks trace states of becoming shaped by memory, ritual, and relational ways of knowing.

'Aeon of the Black Sun' (by Alex Coma) explores the essential truths and enduring resonances of mythologies rooted in ancient feminine archetype — the Goddess Nuit.

'Naguala' (by Claudia Medina and Sophia Sanford) is rooted in teachings that go beyond masculine/feminine archetypes, remembering the human as embedded within ongoing transformations and entanglements with macro and micro worlds.

CVAG admission is barrier-free (no cost). Donations are appreciated and contribute to ongoing community interactive programming.
