- **Event Description**: This Summer we are launching a new event that was suggested by  our members! Participants will start at Lake Trail Community School, where parking is available to off-load your bike. Members of the  Comox Valley Cycling Coalition will be on hand to provide advice on cycling in the Comox Valley. Participants can follow a self guided trail or go with a leader to explore the gardens by bike. The route covers 11km with a total change in elevation of 70m.

We have two community gardens on the route (volunteers from the organizations will be on hand to provide information about the gardens).  There are also six, interesting private gardens that demonstrate the contrasting ways homeowners approach gardening in downtown Courtenay.

This event is offered to members of the Comox Valley Horticultural Society and/or members of the Comox Valley Cycling Coalition (membership is very reasonable and available at any time via our websites--plus there are many other great benefits!).  

We ask that you sign up in advance, complete the waiver, and make a suggested minimum $5 donation that will be divided between: Lush Valley "Share the Harvest", Lake Trail Community Education Society, and Comox Valley Horticultural Society.   A map of the cycling route will be forwarded to registrants about one week prior to the event. 

The Comox Valley Cycling Coalition will provide a free Comox Valley Cycling Map to all participants to help you explore our area on your future cycling adventures.
