- **Event Name**: Comox Valley Community Painting Project
- **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 14 Nov, 2025 at 06:30 pm – Fri, 14 Nov, 2025 at 09:00 pm
- **Event Description**: Come join us as we paint our own designs on a mosaic wood piece for this community art project that is funded by the CV Community Foundation!

No experience or talent required. Come as you are!

This is a small project for which I am looking for a team of up to 10 adults who would like to join us once a week for 3 weeks as we sit and paint. Please PM me if you would like to commit to joining the team for the 3 sessions! If not you are still welcome to Drop-In to the first session.

This project was inspired by the Roberts Creek Mandala.

The Roberts Creek mandala began in 1997 when five friends painted over negative graffiti at the Roberts Creek Beach parking lot, creating a community art project that has grown into an annual event. A new mosaic design is painted each year, inviting hundreds of community members to participate by each painting their own unique art expression in a section of the design.

For our project we will be working on a large 4 x 3 foot design that will be sectioned off into pieces. Each person can paint a piece with any design or colors they choose! (within reason!) Once we are finished the pieces will be assembled into the larger design and mounted with the finished artwork being sent out into the community!
