👣 Route Step Outdoors Hike
🌊 Ebey’s Landing Bluff Trail
📍 162 Cemetery Road, Coupeville, WA 98239
🗓 Saturday, April 25th
⏰ Meet at 10:00 AM
Join us for a peer-led hike at Ebey’s Landing, a truly unique and historic landscape perched above Puget Sound on Whidbey Island. This area offers sweeping views, open prairie, coastal bluffs, and a powerful sense of place.
We’ll be hiking sections of the Bluff Trail, starting near the Prairie Overlook / Sunnyside Cemetery area. From here, the trail winds past working farms and historic sites before opening up to incredible views of Mount Baker, the Cascade Range, the Olympic Mountains, and the Sound below.
As we move west toward the bluff, the terrain shifts from gravel to dirt and becomes a bit more rugged. Along the bluff, we’ll take in wildflowers, windswept trees, and views of the lagoon below — a haven for birdlife. The trail eventually descends via switchbacks to the beach, where we’ll take time to breathe, walk, and reset before looping back.
We’ll move together at a comfortable, supportive pace and adjust the route as needed based on the group. As always, this hike is about connection, not performance.
