Sidewalkers play an important role in supporting our participants during sessions by walking alongside the horse and helping ensure safety, encouragement, and connection. No horse experience is required — we’ll teach you everything you need to know.

During this training, you’ll learn:
• The role of a sidewalker during sessions
• Basic horse safety and barn etiquette
• How to support participants during mounted activities
• Communication and teamwork with instructors and horse leaders

Volunteering with Horses Help is a meaningful way to make a difference while spending time with our incredible horses and community.

We can’t wait to welcome you to the barn! 

PLEASE NOTE: Our sessions typically occur on Mondays and Wednesdays between 2-5pm. Please consider your availability before signing up to train to side walk for these sessions.
