The Willamette River regularly causing flooding in valley towns was taken on in the 1940's by the US Army Corps of Engineers, constructing a series of dams with the goal of Flood Control Sometimes the best place for a dam was where a town had existed. Locally this cost the long-term residents of Dorena and Hebron their homesteads.As usual History Pub will feature Trivia, 50/50 raffle, Fun, fellowship, and an informative talk all with the ambiance of the Axe and Fiddle. History Pubs are sponsored and presented by Cottage Grove Partners in History
