- **Event Description**: Join Kristi Quillen in this series exploring how poetry can be restorative, a portal for contemplation, and a means of practicing the same skills we develop in contemplative practice. Each session will focus on an element of poetry (thing-ness, music, metaphor, image), as well as an element of contemplation (attention, mind, body, emotions). We will actively practice contemplative methods through reading and reflecting on the poems, sharing with each other, creative writing, and engaging in short periods of contemplation or meditation. 

The series will culminate in a day-long retreat at Shotpouch Cabin on Saturday, May 31, from 10am-3pm; the retreat is co-sponsored by the Spring Creek Project.
