Nichos are decorative shadow boxes made to honor someone who has died. They come from the traditions around the Mexican celebration of Dia de los Muertos. Participants will have the opportunity to create a small personalized nichos during the Dia de los Muertos workshop.

This class is taught by Melissa Vidaña. 

For ages 8 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult. 

Instructor is bilingual 

Los nichos son cajas decorativas tipo vitrina que suelen adornar las ofrendas o altares y que generalmente están hechas de madera u hojalata. Provienen de las tradiciones asociadas a la celebración mexicana del Día de los Muertos. Los participantes tendrán la oportunidad de crear un pequeño nicho personalizado durante el taller del Día de los Muertos.
