(at their Cornhole Toss-Off Fundraiser - link in discussion)

Sometimes, it’s the smallest things that help us find our way forward. We call them glimmers.

There’s a bridge that only exists if we build it together. It starts right where you are, with one shot, one player, one small moment. And it leads to a place where a child can feel safe, supported, connected, and hopeful about what comes next.

A glimmer is a small moment that makes you feel good. It can be a person, a place, a song, a laugh, a memory, or a moment of connection. Something that brings a little light when things feel hard. A trigger can pull us backward. A glimmer can help pull us toward something better.

For a child struggling with mental health, a glimmer can be the start of something lighter, bigger, or brighter. A trusted adult who listens. A quiet place to read. A new coping skill. The feeling of laughing with a friend. Trillium Family Services helps make those moments possible for thousands of children and families across Oregon.

Now it’s your turn to help build what comes next.

Bounskee is like Skee Ball with ping pong balls. You get 10 shots per turn, and your first turn is free. Every successful shot is worth at least 10 points, and every 10 points you score puts $1 toward Trillium Family Services. Our collective goal is 10,000 points, which means you can help generate $1,000 for Trillium’s work with children and families.

But your score is only half the challenge. Now make your mark. Think of a glimmer that has helped you, your child, a friend, or someone you care about through a hard moment. Write it on a brick and add it to the bridge. Watch as players build from both sides, one glimmer at a time, until we reach the middle.

Because brighter futures are built the same way. A child gets the support they need. A family finds a little more hope. A community shows up and adds its strength. Each piece matters, and together they can create a path forward.

One shot becomes points. Points become support for kids. One glimmer becomes a brick. And brick by brick, we’re building something bigger than a game. We’re building brighter futures with children, families, and communities.

Highest scores will earn prizes, and if we complete the bridge before time runs out, everyone who participated wins something.

Take your shot. Make your points count for kids. Add your glimmer.

Let’s see how far we can build together.

What’s your glimmer?
