- **Event Description**: We are happy to announce that we will have Danita Armstrong Davis stopping by for our February meeting to discuss Native Plants for Pollinators.  

Here's a little background about Danita:

Danita Armstrong Davis became an Ohio State University Master Gardener Volunteer in 2013.  She completed her training at Mahoning County OSU Extension and also joined the Trumbull
County OSU Extension MGV Program at that time. She has volunteered in both programs since.  Danita oversees the Native Garden section of the Trumbull MGV Research and Development
Garden at the Trumbull County Agricultural Center.

Danita trained to become a Volunteer Pollinator Specialist at the OSU BeeLab in Wooster under the guidance of Denise Ellsworth. She also completed Community Garden Specialty Training
through OSU Extension. Danita is volunteer leader of the Garfield Community Gardens in Warren where she signs up, advises, and helps community gardeners who grow food in the 50
garden plots and elevated beds at GCG. She has had a passion for developing pollinator garden beds at Garfield Community Gardens to provide habitat for the over 400 native bees of Ohio.
Danita has recently taken an interest in providing habitat there for native butterflies as well as maintaining a Monarch Way Station at GCG.

Danita will be here, in-person, for the meeting so please make sure to join us!
