Certified instructor Melissa Turben will lead an upcoming training for CPR & First Aid certification through the Emergency Care & Safety Institute.  Topics to be covered will include causes of heart attacks and strokes with necessary First Aid, diabetic emergencies, seizures, and heat/cold emergencies. AED and community Hands-Only CPR training will be provided, with mouth-to-mouth CPR to be discussed. Training and certifications meet job-related requirements as defined by regulatory authorities such as OSHA, The Joint Commission, and state offices of EMS, Education, Transportation, and Health. CPR & First Aid Certification Training will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, from 2p-6p at the Corry High School Career & Technology Center.  The cost is $50. A CPR/First Aid pocket field guide will be included in the cost of the class.  Participants must be at least age 15 and be accompanied by an adult if under 18. Seating is limited.
