- **Event Description**: This page is for our Sunday practices at West Guth Park at 9700 Up River Rd., off I37 at Rand Morgan, starting at 3pm, however, the first Sunday of each month will be at the Cole Park (1900 Ocean Dr., Corpus), same start time.

We also have practices on Wednesdays at East Cliff Park (301 Georgia Place, Portland), starting at 6:30pm.

All practices are weather permitting, and times, dates, and locations are subject to change; an announcement will be posted ASAP. A small blue and yellow Seawinds sea-shell banner will be up to mark the spot.

Spectators are welcome, these are completely FREE activities, and if you're interested in trying it out yourself, we have loaner equipment available, but you must be 18 or older, sign a waiver, and we'll suit you up (and we'll of course go easy on you 😃).

We also have Youth Combat, for children ages 6-17, using foam-padded weapons, though children 16-17 can, on a case-by-case basis, be allowed to use the same equipment as the adults. Loaner gear is available, participation is FREE, however, all Youth combatants must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times, who must also sign the waiver. Covid precautions are encouraged; Food and drink (other than bottled waters) will NOT be provided by the Shire, but individuals may bring their own and may share if they choose to at their own risk.

Although the SCA complies with all applicable laws to try to ensure the health and safety of our event participants, we cannot eliminate the risk of exposure to infectious diseases during in-person events. By participating in the in-person events of the SCA, you acknowledge and accept the potential risks. You agree to take any additional steps to protect your health and safety and those under your control as you believe to be necessary.
