Did you miss our last “Science of Oysters” homeschool day in June? Not a problem! Texas Surf Conservancy is back in July to offer their FREE program again!

Oysters are more than just food or water filters. They are keystone species. Oyster reefs support life in our bays, providing shelter, spawning grounds, and protection. By learning how oysters create community underwater, students are introduced to key ecological concepts of interdependence, biodiversity, and habitat restoration. 

Join us at the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History for Homeschool Day: The “Science of Oysters,” brought to you by Texas Surf Conservancy, and discover how oysters help keep our coastal ecosystems healthy. Through hands-on learning and interactive activities, students will explore concepts like biodiversity, habitat restoration, and the importance of protecting our bays.

Important Information for Families:
• This program is designed for students in grades 1–6.
• Space is limited to enrolled students only.
• Parents and younger or older siblings are welcome to explore the Museum with the purchase of general admission tickets.
• Check-in begins at 10:00 AM.
• Guests arriving more than 15 minutes after the program begins will not be admitted and will not receive a refund or raincheck.
