Learn about aquatic invertebrates and their importance in the St. Lawrence River ecosystem. Participants will have the opportunity to collect field samples as well as identify invertebrates with River Institute educators and scientists.Guests of the workshop will also learn how to use D-nets and kick nets to sample benthic invertebrates. Use scientific tools like a microscope, pipette, and dichotomous key to explore various species of invertebrates from the St. Lawrence River.
