Participants learn how to set up their workspaces, the basics of the medium, and how to handle printing equipment and tools.Stone Lithography is based on the resistance between grease and water. An image is drawn using a greasy material onto a “grained” smooth prepared limestone slab. Participants gain an understanding of how to prepare and grind a stone, draw directly onto the surface of a stone, etch the stone, roll up the stone with ink, and put the stone through the press to print the image onto paper.Participants finish the course having created a series of prints.Cork Printmakers reserves the right to cancel any course with insufficient enrolment, and when this occurs any and all prepaid fees will be refunded.
