OUT OF FRAME - PRODUCTION DESIGN WORKSHOP with Hannah Bethan Lane

A look behind the scenes at production designing in Cork from and Indie level to bigger budgets. Not only will Hannah discuss her own experiences and tips/tricks she’s learned but also how integral the relationship between a Production Designer, Locations Manager, the Arts Department, a DOP and a Director truly is. She will also demonstrate through a practical workshop how anyone with little to no experience can analyze their own visual work and improve upon it no matter what the budget is.

Hannah Bethan Lane is a Cork based Set Designer for film, television and theatre. Her Television credits include Production designing and set dressing “De Valera I Meiriceá” (TG4/RTÉ), “Cogadh ar Mhná”, “Eipidéim” (TG4), “74 Days: The Hunger Strike of Terence McSwiney” and “Forgotten: The Widows of the Irish Revolution” (RTÉ). Her most recent work, “Croíthe Radacacha” (TG4) had its premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh 2023 before airing later in the year. Hannah has also Production designed over two dozen award winning short films and was nominated for ‘Best Set design’ at the Milan Short Film Festival 2023.
