Audiences will be treated to soaring choral harmonies, orchestral grandeur with Cork Concert Orchestra, and intimate moments of seasonal reflection. Including a special performance by Signalman Araon Kearney of the Irish Defense Forces.

As always, the concert supports local charities, focusing on organisations making a meaningful difference in Cork. Short film sections will highlight the invaluable work of Shine a Light, Cork Samaritans, and the Cork Branch of The Alzheimer Society of Ireland, reminding everyone of the generosity and compassion at the heart of the season.

The evening culminates in a powerful choir finale with Cór Cois Abhann, filling the hall with the collective voices of hundreds of performers, and throughout the night with the Garda Male Voice Choir, and the Montfort's Youth Choir, leaving audiences uplifted as they enter the Christmas period. 

The Lord Mayor’s Gala Christmas Concert continues to grow each year, and 2025 promises to be its most magical edition yet, a celebration of music, community, and the shared spirit of Christmas in Cork. And to lift the performances further we have supporting choreographies by the Joan Denise Moriarty School of Dance, and a solo from Kevin Goble of Unity Irish Dance.
