GRUNGE IS DEAD - HALLOWEEN SPECIAL w/ Paradox plus guests

Cork based Alternative Rockers Paradox play The Poor Relation stage on Friday Oct. 31st for a night of Halloween Grunge joined by special guests. Fancy Dress Grunge Legend's attire is welcome and strongly encouraged.
Paradox are no stranger to the Cork music scene including the Crane Lane Theatre stage having played many full house shows as well as performing memorable Nirvana nights since 2014 for Kurt Cobain's yearly anniversary.
Paradox were originally formed in 1997 by brothers Pete Mac and Mike Mac. The early Paradox sound was heavily influenced by the Grunge Era of the 90's. Paradox have released 4 studio albums to date along with numerous singles. Singer Songwriter Pete Mac has also released 2 solo albums. The debut Paradox album 'Circle of Growth' was recorded in Los Angeles in 2000 and released on a US label. Their second album 'Sacred' was recorded and released in 2004, 'Corporate Pollution' was released in 2011 and 'Chapters' released in 2015.
2020 saw the release of their latest single 'Welcome to the Happy Place' however the band had to cancel a number of shows and plans as a result of Covid.
Paradox have toured both Europe and the US over the years as well as playing support to the likes of Therapy?, Kerbdog and Shonen Knife and more recently sharing the stage with fellow Irish bands Fangclub and Bitch Falcon. 2020 also saw singer Pete Mac returning to his solo endeavors with the digital release of various cover versions and the release of his first original single titled 'Disappear' in over 10 years. A follow up single titled 'Escape' was released in 2021. Featuring the guest vocals from US/French iconic musician/ artist Lisa Papineau.
2023 saw the release of Pete Mac's second full length solo album 'Hiber Nation'. The band returned to playing live in 2024 with new original music set to be released in 2025.
