This course introduces the principles of screen-printing. Participants learn how to set up their work spaces, the basics of the medium, and how to handle printing equipment and tools. They prepare and edit photographic or hand-drawn imagery, then coat and expose a screen. Mono-printing and photo-screen stencilling techniques are covered, including four-colour separation and tru-grain. Experimentation with layering colour, blending, and over printing methods is also covered. Participants finish the course having created a series of prints.
