This is workplace training, which means existing qualified professionals can use their new skills right away as an add-on to existing related qualifications. Those without a qualification will be qualified to obtain insurance to facilitate iSR© Sound bath meditation with paying clients, and use iSRT© Sound Therapy Level 1 with family & friends for non-professional use. Day 1 commences with 1.5 hours of inspiration with our Special Guest Tutor & Music Therapist – the wonderful Dr Dara O’Brien from UCC Cork School of Music. Dara is a fountain of music & sound healing wisdom with a PhD in Indian Classical Music, one of the world's ancient forms of Sound Medicine with an inspiring talk and demonstration titled “Sound as Medicine – Music for the Soul” where you will also discover how to utilise the harmonic resonance of your own instruments effectively to produce unique healing sounds. (Bring your own instruments for the practical demonstration, you will learn new harmonic techniques, or use instruments provided in class) Dara’s 1.5 hours guest segment concludes with a 30-minute soothing “Sitar Sounds” meditative live performance accompanied by Sharon, who is your Tutor for the remainder of this 2-day course.
