- **Event Description**: It feels, and even is, true that our world slips into chaos in an instant.  The news and our social media provide us a constant flood of violence and destruction.  Before we know it, we are lost in a storm of anxiety and exhaustion, to the point where we cannot hear ourselves think, feel spiritually dry, and struggle to hear the voice of God speaking to us.

On Tuesday evening, September 16th, we will offer a port in that storm, so to speak.  St. Paul's Lutheran Church will be open from 7pm to 9pm.  There will be no program, no study, no production.  Instead, the church will be open for prayer, silence, listening.  In the last ten minutes of that time, Compline, which means "night prayer" at the "completion" of day, will be sung, asking God for a "peaceful night and a perfect end."

Whether you join in for a few minutes or an hour, we encourage you to come to the church, sit in this space, and be sheltered from the noise of the world as you listen for the Spirit of God.
