Each invitation is crafted to connect your senses to the sights, smells, and textures of nature. Spend intentional time in the forest and remember your belonging.Forest bathing, also called forest therapy, is inspired by the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku. It is a guided experience that allows you to slow down while connecting with nature, community, and with yourself.What is aura photography?Aura photography is a tool to visually convey the current colors of your energy field. Aura archive’s aura camera technology uses bio-sensor hand plates to measure electrodermal activity (moisture, heat + the tiny currents in your hands that read the nervous system and emotional state). Then the color mapping tools within the device, communicate with a long-exposure camera to superimpose your specific color pallet on polaroid film.After your photograph develops, gorgeous colors will appear on the polaroid with a different signature based on your present state. The placement of colors, formation + location all carry significant, and specific meaning. Aura photography is usually accompanied by a color analysis, and intuitive reading for deeper awareness into your unique energetic blueprint - at this moment in time... to be archived.What do I bring + what do I wear?Journal, comfortable clothes, sunscreen or sun protectant if needed, water/hydration, blanket or other additional comfort items.Will I be fed?We may have a few small snacks, but if you are needing substancial nourishment, please feel free to bring with you! Here we’ll remember our connection to land and witness the unfolding of our authentic self.About Your Guides:Julie Jansen (she/her), Certified Forest Therapy Guide with Earthbody PresenceJulie is a meditation practitioner, movement educator, and a certified Forest Therapy Guide. Since childhood she has found awe, tranquility, and a sense of homecoming in nature and through somatic movement. Julie guides individuals and groups in meditation, movement, and land-based practices to connect people with tools that help them remember their wholeness. Her gentle, trauma-informed guidance empowers individuals to bring presence-based practices into their lives as they encounter the struggles and joys of being human. Julie lives and works on the ancestral homeland of the Upper Chinook tribe in what is now Portland, Oregon.Julie is a certified Forest Therapy Guide with The Association of Nature and Forest Therapy.
