In addition to the volunteer opportunity, for the benefit of public health, there will be nurses from Sun River Health and Cornell Cooperative Extension at this event providing FREE A1C diabetes screenings, diabetes/nutrition education and resources for community members. This event will take place from 5:30pm-7:30pm on Thursday, February 12th at the Coram Fire Department Main Fire House at 303 Middle Country Rd, Coram NY 11727. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to attend. This event is particularly well-suited for groups, scout troops, and other youth organizations! In addition to stations with stickers and art supplies, we will be having a collage-corner for our craftiest volunteers, so bring along magazines and other materials. If you can’t make it but would like to donate some magazines toward the effort, you can drop them off at our office at 149 Main St, Setauket NY 11733 Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm.
