Along with playing together in our exhibits, campers will be guided through a variety of nature-themed projects, activities, and games—like creating their own bird from paper parts or pretending to be reindeer migrating together.

Campers will also have plenty of opportunities to explore nature up close in the classroom, with displays featuring local fossils, real animal bones, live plants, and lots of cool rocks and minerals.

Even though we won’t be going outside during the camp, it is guaranteed to be a wild time with plenty of outdoor-inspired fun! This camp is for children who have completed kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade, with nature-based activities tailored to a wide range of elementary ages.

Please note: Campers will take part in hands-on projects and exploration using materials like sticks, leaves, dirt, and rocks—so we’ll definitely be getting our hands dirty!

This camp meets July 6 – 10, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to Noon. Registration is required.
