Brewing Breath & Beats

A 75 minute flow practice with live, custom music by Chromabeats. Enjoy a locally brewed kombucha or beer afterwards. (Admission includes 1 drink)

About Chromabeats:
Music is everywhere. Whether its the calming sound of wind and singing birds or the low bass rumble of bass standing outside a late night club, the sounds we hear affect our presence and can guide us to become more mindful. Chicago based duo Chromabeats provides sound as a backdrop for our daily life: long soundscapes for meditation guide our breath; slow filtered drums and simple melodies to start moving our body; lofi beats as background to read, cook, study to; Worldbeat inspired House grooves to dance all night or layers of experimental sounds to expand the way we think.
Marshall Greenhouse (@Manchosounds) and Wiebe Ophorst (@_functionless) have been performing and touring festivals, music venues and yoga studios since 2018 as well as composing commissioned tracks for modern dance. Using a variety of modular and analog synthesisers, live percussion, handpan, loopers and effects, Chromabeats improvise a live soundtrack without the use of laptops.
