Like an eternal sun, her memory never sets and forever burns in the hearts of the exiles. ABOUT THE ARTISTSN Blanco Y Negro piano duo was founded in 2017, and their first recital took place that same year in Miami, FL, USA. Since then, the duo has performed in the USA and Europe. In 2021, their musical affinity and virtuosity earned them three international competitions: a Gold Medal in Macedonia, Laureate in France, and a Gold Medal in Italy. In November of 2023, the duo won the Euterpe Music Awards in Berlin, Germany. The pianists, both of Cuban descent, studied in the USA and the USSR. Mirta Gómez graduated from the Juilliard School in New York City, and Sahily Cánovas graduated from the Kyiv and Odesa State Conservatories in Ukraine. Both artists have performed as soloists in the USA, Canada, South America, and Europe. In 2023 and 2024, the duo performed in Europe, Central America, and the USA.
