Burke Mountain Trail Cleanup

Join us for a trail cleanup event on Burke Mountain that starts at Sheffield Park on Saturday, Sept 27th at 10am! 🧹🌿 The first 15 people to come out to the clean up get a coupon for a free scoop at Rocky Point Ice Cream 🍦

People looking to help clean will be assigned to one of the trails on the mountain with a volunteer trail leader. Interested in volunteering to lead groups on the trails? Please reach out!

The City of Coquitlam Park Spark staff will be there to provide supplies, help, and education for everyone attending.

Park Spark Staff will be providing ample gloves, bags, and also 15–20 trash pickers for people to use. They recommend the buddy system 👥—one person holds the bag while the other uses the picker—to maximize participation. If you have your own picker or bucket at home, we highly recommend bringing it! 🪣

Are you interested in sponsoring? We are looking for small in-kind food sponsorships (pre-packaged from a licensed kitchen is best!) or small cash sponsorships 💵 to add things like entertainment 🎶. This is a not-for-profit event, and all leftover money will be donated to a charity that helps animals or nature 🐾🌲

The City of Coquitlam will also be giving volunteer hours to people who attend, which is especially great for students needing to rack up hours! 🎓
