- **Event Description**: Welcome back to DRUM CON - A convention for all!

This drum filled event takes place on 17th April 2027 in Marks Tey Parish Hall.

Once again we have booked the entire building to bring everyone together in the name of drums!

Doors open at 10am and a programme of talks, workshops and performances takes place until 6pm.

There will then be a break for people to eat or relax before starting the evening entertainment, which will go on until around 1030pm.

This is a wonderful event with people coming from far and wide to join up and experience drumming in different forms, learn from Drummers of different kinds and shop at the amazing market full of drum based and other items!

There are 2 food providers so you can eat on the premises or drive out to nearby restaurants in the break.

Lots of people make a weekend of it, booking a hotel so they don't have to rush home.

You can expect
Massive community drum circle with Melonie Syrett - Thedrumwoman

Plus at least 6 more offerings and performances before the evenings entertainment begins.

Currently steel pans and southern Italian frame drumming and dancing are on the cards!
Plus something new - there will be no women and mens sessions this time and instead a drum building group challenge... Can your team build the best drum from the materials given in a set time? Think scrapheap challenge stylee!!

Stall holder applications are now open.
Anyone wishing to offer a workshop please get in touch!
