We are more than thrilled to welcome an amazing artist, a real Queen of Dots, to our second home – Bankeråt.

Maria Kleis (born 1987) is a Danish artist who lives and works in Copenhagen. She is particularly known for her colorful paintings, created using a unique technique composed of thousands of carefully placed dots that convey stories through form, color, and emotion.

She grew up in an artistic family and has developed her visual style through many years of travel and work in both Spain and the United States. She combines elements of golden age art and street/tattoo culture in her works. In parallel, she has gained recognition as a tattoo artist, including appearances in the TV program Tattoo Salonen on TV3.

Her art explores human expression and emotion in a highly detailed and evocative way, inviting the viewer to experience the paintings both visually and emotionally.
