It’s a new year, and that means a fresh start! This First Saturday, we're kicking off 2026 with balance in mind and giving you a chance to start the year out the best way possible: With a run and a delicious beverage.

While we love beer, we also know moderation is key. So let’s lace up, go for a run, and enjoy a refreshing drink afterwards. We will both have Year of the Lager and different options of non-alcoholic beer.

– It’s Alive: 5 or 7 km – slowest runner sets the pace
– I Wish: 7 km – Pace: 5:45 min/km
– Ny Såååårt: 10 km – Pace: 5:30 min/km
– YFMU & IF: 10–12 km – Pace: 5:15 min/km
– Stella 5: 10 km – Pace: 5:00 min/km
– Beer Geeks: 12 km – Pace: 4:30–4:45 min/km
– Limbo Series: 10 km – Pace: 4:15 min/km

On the first Saturday of every month, Mikkeller Running Club chapters all over the world meet for a social run and a beer.
It’s the perfect way to kick off a new month

? What is Dry January?
We also heard someone call it White january - however - Dry January is an initiative that began in 2013, encouraging people to take on a personal challenge: abstaining from alcohol for the entire month. Whether you’re committing to a full Dry January, just a few days, or skipping it altogether, Mikkeller Running Club is here to inspire everyone to have a great time—both with and without alcohol. 
At MRC, we believe in balance, and this is a perfect example of how we embrace it. That’s why we’re dedicating our First Saturday in January to celebrating this initiative and showing how fun and flavorful Dry January can be!
