Elori Saxl komponerer eksperimenterende, elektronisk musik, og Henry Solomon er kunstner, producer og saxofonist. I projektet Seeing Is Forgetting har de forenet kræfterne: Analoge synths møder baritonsaxofon og basklarinet i en lyd, der føles både håbefuld og skrøbelig. Seeing Is Forgetting trækker på abstrakt jazz og minimalisme, såvel som popmusikkens sans for harmonier, form og hooks. Forenet åbner Elori Saxl og Henry Solomon op for en ambient krammer, som leder tankerne hen på andre tider og fjerne verdener. Gå derfor ikke glip af deres koncert under Vinterjazz 2026!
Elori Saxl har modtaget roser for sin evne til at forene digital lyd og analog synthesizere og klassiske instrumenter i alt fra The Washington Post, The Guardian, Pitchfork og The New Yorker. Desuden har hun optrådt, både solo og som en del af en kvartet, på Rewire, Dripping, WOD, National Sawdust, Public Records og som åbner til Colin Stetsons nordamerikanske tour. Ud over egne projektet har Henry Solomon spillet for Paramore, Vampire Weekend, Louis Cole, Miley Cyrus og er med på HAIM’s album Women In Music Pt. 3. Henry Slomon har spillet i Madison Square Garden, Hollywood Bowl og Sofi Stadium, og på utallige festivaler rundt omkring i verden. Det er altså to yderst rutinerede musikere, vi får besøg af til Vinterjazz 2026. Men det gør ikke oplevelsen mindre intim.
