Crack Cloud er et musikkollektiv, der ikke er bange for at gå imod de klassiske dogmer. Med stifter, sanger og trommeslager Zach Choy i front har gruppen gennem deres første to roste udgivelser “Pain Olympics” (2019) og “Tough Baby” (2022) gjort sig bemærket med et radikalt univers, hvor punkens stramme rytmer, staccato-hakkede guitarer og politiske bid smelter sammen med en musikalsk skævhed og instrumental legesyge à la Talking Heads. På det vitale album “Red Mile” (2024) afsøger gruppen i endnu højere grad grænserne mellem genrer, tonalitet og eksperimenter. Her bliver den rå punkenergi maxet ud med sprudlende orkestrale elementer, strygersektioner og dramatiske opbygninger. “Red Mile” høstede bl.a. store roser fra The Guardian og The Alternative, som kaldte albummet fænomenalt. Siden deres debut har Crack Cloud braget ud over scenekanten på festivaler og venues internationalt, herhjemme i Mayhem, på Hotel Cecil og på Roskilde Festival, hvor de spillede en af årets bedste koncerter i 2019.
Den canadiske alternative gruppe blev oprindeligt stiftet som et rehabiliteringsprojekt i Vancouver, hvor medlemmerne boede sammen i et slags stort musik- og mediekollektiv. Crack Cloud tæller over 20 medlemmer som i skiftende besætninger har gjort gruppen berygtet for deres intense liveshows. Når Crack Cloud rammer ALICE med nyt album, udgøres gruppen af Zach Choy, Aleem Khan, Bryce Cloghesy, Will Choy, danske Emma Acs, Eve Adams og Nathaniel Philips. Vi kan ikke vente til april!

Crack Cloud has become notorious for their electrifying live shows and uncompromising break with traditional musical dogmas, where raw punk energy meets vibrant orchestral elements and a sense of playful instrumental experimentation. This spring, the Canadian alternative collective takes over ALICE with a new album.
Crack Cloud is a music collective unafraid to push back against traditional dogmas. With founder, vocalist, and drummer Zach Choy at the helm, the group has, through their first two acclaimed releases Pain Olympics (2019) and Tough Baby (2022), carved out a radical sonic universe where punk’s tight rhythms, staccato-cut guitars, and political edge merge with the playful eccentricity and instrumental curiosity reminiscent of Talking Heads. On their vital album Red Mile (2024), the collective pushes even further into the borderlands between genre, tonality, and experimentation. Here, raw punk energy is amplified by vibrant orchestral elements, sweeping string sections, and dramatic buildups. Red Mile received high praise from outlets like The Guardian and The Alternative, which both described the album as phenomenal. Since their debut, Crack Cloud has made a powerful impact on stages worldwide — including Mayhem, Hotel Cecil, and Roskilde Festival, where they delivered one of the standout concerts of 2019.
