Slack Bird combines the best sides of the deep south and the cold north putting together classic Appalachian banjo playing and the dark melodies of drony Finnish traditional music.  Their newest album "Jos emme saa tanssia" deepens Slack Bird's fusion of roots music adding early Finnish pop music from the 1920s, Balkan horns, punk, and New Orleans jazz into the mix of Appa-Nordic folk.
