Simon Steen-Andersen
Den danske stjernekomponist Simon Steen-Andersens Study for String Instruments #1–2 er en minitriologi skrevet mellem 2007 og 2011. Værkerne fokuserer på musikernes fysiske bevægelser, og man møder både visuelle og elektroniske elementer. Den overordnede udvikling gennem serien går fra “bevægelsen i lyden” til “lyden af bevægelsen”, hvor selve bevægelserne får en stadig større rolle. #1 kan siges at være en slags koreografisk leg – eller måske snarere en dans, der akkompagnerer sig selv.

Marta Śniady
Den polske komponist Marta Śniadys audiovisuelle værk Your Only Limit Is You er en kritisk kommentar til den moderne selvoptimeringskultur i samfundet. Marta Śniady debuterede i 2019 fra musikkonservatoriet i Aarhus, hvor hun blandt andet blev undervist og inspireret af Simon Steen-Andersen. Værket er skrevet for cello, basklarinet, video og elektronik.

Golnaz Shariatzadeh
Den iranske komponist Golnaz Shariatzadehs strygetrio Root præsenteres med komponistens egen visuelle kunst som bagtæppe (som også koncertens grafik bygger på). Hendes værker trækker ofte tråde til hendes personlige baggrund i Shiraz, Iran, og berører temaer som migration og kunstnerisk identitet.

Kaj Duncan David
Det audiovisuelle værk 4c0st1tr1g3r af den dansk-britiske komponist Kaj Duncan David er skrevet for en soloslagtøjsspiller, der kommunikerer med lys via sin tromme. David trækker på en musikalsk baggrund, der spænder over både klassisk og elektronisk musik.

Simon Steen-Andersen
The Danish star composer Simon Steen-Andersen’s Study for String Instruments #1–2 is a mini-trilogy written between 2007 and 2011. The works focus on the performers’ physical movements, incorporating both visual and electronic elements. The overall development throughout the series moves from “movement within sound” to “the sound of movement,” with the movements themselves taking on an increasingly central role. #1 can be described as a kind of choreographic play – or perhaps rather a dance that accompanies itself.

Marta Śniady
The Polish composer Marta Śniady’s audiovisual work Your Only Limit Is You is a critical commentary on contemporary self-optimization culture. Marta Śniady graduated in 2019 from the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, where she was taught and inspired by Simon Steen-Andersen. The work is written for cello, bass clarinet, video, and electronics.

Golnaz Shariatzadeh
The Iranian composer Golnaz Shariatzadeh’s string trio Root is presented with the composer’s own visual artwork as a backdrop (which also forms the basis of the concert’s visual identity). Her works often draw on her personal background in Shiraz, Iran, and explore themes such as migration and artistic identity.

Kaj Duncan David
The audiovisual work 4c0st1tr1g3r by the Danish-British composer Kaj Duncan David is written for a solo percussionist who communicates with light through his drum. David draws on a musical background spanning both classical and electronic music.
