Andreas Toftemark Quartet

Toftemark Quartet presents new music that explores musical boundaries, where improvisation and spirituality come together in a dynamic and deeply personal sound.

The quartet features:

Andreas Toftemark – tenor and soprano saxophone

Rasmus Sørensen – piano

Matthias Petri – double bass

Nikolaj Bangsgaard – drums

In a remarkably short time, Andreas Toftemark has established himself as one of the leading young saxophonists on the Danish jazz scene. He has performed extensively around the world, including in Brazil, France, Germany, and the United States, and has shared the stage with internationally acclaimed musicians such as Benny Benack III, Ethan Iverson, Rodney Green, Peter Bernstein, and Gerard Presencer.

Signed to April Records, Andreas has released three critically acclaimed albums under his own name. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York and a European Jazz Master’s degree, completed in Copenhagen, Berlin, and Paris.
