Afrobeats er en moderne vestafrikansk musikgenre, der blander stilarter som hiphop, dancehall, R&B og elektronisk musik. Med rødder fra Nigeria og Ghana opstod genren i slutningen af 00’erne og er inspireret af genren “Afrobeat,” som Fela Kuti gjorde verdenskendt i 60’erne og 70’erne.

DJ MOF!YAH er en anerkendt afro DJ, der har sat sit præg på dansegulve i Danmark, Sverige, Norge, Storbritannien og Schweiz. Hun har bl.a. spillet på Roskilde Festival, Distortion, Copenhagen Pride, NorthSide, Nibe Festival og P3 Din Gata. Hun har desuden opvarmet for store navne som Omah Lay, CKay, Tayc, Diamond Platnumz, DJ Maphorisa, L.A.X., TxC, Ms Banks.
Med sine afrikanske rødder skaber hun en unik oplevelse, hvor Afrobeats, Amapiano, Hip Hop, R&B og Reggaeton smelter sammen og bringer dansegulvet til kogepunktet.

Afrobeats is a vibrant West African music genre that blends styles like hip-hop, dancehall, R&B, and electronic music. Rooted in Nigeria and Ghana, the genre emerged in the late 2000s and draws inspiration from “Afrobeat,” made world-famous by Fela Kuti in the 1960s and 70s.

DJ MOF!YAH is a well-known Afro DJ who has made her mark on dance floors in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, the UK, and Switzerland. She has performed at major events such as Roskilde Festival, Distortion, Copenhagen Pride, NorthSide, Nibe Festival, and P3 Din Gata.
