The Ministry of Balboa invites you to a cozy, swingin’ X-mas social at Fælledvej 12, 1st floor, Opgang B, 2200 Copenhagen N, on Friday 12 December 2025, 19:00–24:00.
Expect Balboa social dance sprinkled with a bit of Collegiate Shag, live swing jazz music, a little Balboa performance, a friendly bar - and of course risalamande with almond gifts.
Program
19:00–20:00: Taster with Patricia & Alexander: 'Balboa and Collegiate Shag, a match made in heaven'
You’ll learn the basics of shag, how to bring your Balboa figures into shag, how to switch between the two, and how to dance shag in a chill, low-impact way (no jumping)
20:00–21:00: Social dancing and warm-up w. risalamande
21:00–24:00: Social dance with live music from Jeppe Zacho Trio and DJ Woohoo spinning tunes during band breaks
Participation is free for members of MoB - it's only DKK 100/year and you can join us here:
