Every year citizens from around the world spend a couple days in which they’ll take some time to observe birds in their own “backyard”.  The Great Backyard Bird Count runs from Feb. 13th-16th this year and we will be participating at the Park!! While you can of course count birds from your own home, we will host a couple times each of the days listed where you can come in and “count” with our staff, learn about the birds, and try your hand at ID. We’ll have a feeder station set up outside the office during the day to make surveying birds a tad easier, and we’ll have a couple sets of small binoculars to borrow.
