Join us for a special night of basketball, community, and giving back at Southwestern Oregon Community College.

We’re collecting new teddy bears and stuffed animals to support Bay Area Hospital’s Kids’ HOPE Center, the Child Abuse Intervention Center for Coos County, and children in the Pediatric Unit. These bears help reduce anxiety and bring comfort, courage, and smiles to some of our county’s youngest while they receive care and services.

?️ Bring a new bear or stuffed animal and enjoy free admission

The Teddy Bear Toss will take place at halftime during the Women’s Basketball game as the Southwestern Lakers take on the Umpqua RiverHawks.

Can’t make the game? Teddy bears may also be dropped off ahead of time at The Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, Cardinal Services or Banner Bank locations in Coos Bay and North Bend.

Let’s pack the gym, cheer on the Lakers, and help local kids feel a little more brave and cared for in a time of need. ??
