# Event Details

- **Event Name**: Sisterhood Swap'n Social - NEW Date!
- **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 22 Nov, 2025 at 04:00 am – Sat, 22 Nov, 2025 at 08:00 am
- **Event Description**: It's that time again for the Sisterhood Swap'n Social!

How it works:

- Look through your closet for clothes, shoes, accessories you no longer wear. You can also bring home stuff (table cloths, blankets, decorations etc). You want to get rid of it? Bring it.

- Even if you don't have much to swap, join in anyway. It's not a "swap this for that". Everything is donated to the sisterhood and you pick through and take what you like. Some people just want to empty their closets! So if you don't have donations, bring yourself!

- During the event, we usually mingle, while trying on clothes, share fashion ideas and have a chilled time with sisters. This is a great chance to try on different fashion flavours, stuff you normally wouldn't wear, to expand your wardrobe range without the cost risk.

- Whatever is not swapped will be donated to Vinnie's or Salvos. So this adds an extra step in the reduce-reuse-recycle motto. We help each other, reduce spending, and help the environment! Yeah!

- Yes - bring your friends, no need to ask us.

- Sisterhood? What do you mean?
I've done swaps for ladies only and for mixed genders and found that most of the time, the men got bored of dressing up quite quickly. Meanwhile, the ladies, cis or trans, have a ball trying on all the stuff and connecting in sisterhood... "OMG! This dress will really suit you! Try it on!"
So this event is catering to females and female identifying humans only to better serve the group. Playing with fashion flavours is primarily feminine energy. If you wanna cultivate this form of feminine playfulness, come join us.
If the men in our community get excited about this idea don't despair. Let me know and we can plan a mixed gender one in the future.
