In 2025 and 2026, he won the Best Acoustic Act for the second and third times and was inducted into the UK Blues Hall Of Fame. Since signing to APM Records in 2021, he has appeared on BBC Radio 2’s Blues Show with Cerys Matthews, showcased on Beale Street and appeared on the legendary King Biscuit Time (Helena AK). He has recorded with established US artists Vaneese Thomas (Rufus Thomas), Benny Turner (Freddie King, Mighty Joe Young), and the Reverend Shawn Amos. Most recently, he has recorded with Hi Rhythm (Al Green, Ann Peebles, Otis Clay) in Memphis at Royal Studios, with Grammy Award winning producer Boo Mitchell. For this gig, Oli will be opening the afternoon with a 45 min solo acoustic set and will introduce the full band line up for the longer second set. Raised on classic records, she was immersed in music from an early age, but it wasn’t until she moved to Memphis that she began to share her gift. In 2019, she arrived at Rhodes College and quickly fell in love with the city’s rich musical heritage. In 2021, she landed an internship with producer Boo Mitchell at Royal Studios—the birthplace of the Memphis Soul sound. There, she quietly absorbed everything she could about making records. One afternoon during a session break, Mitchell overheard her playing guitar in the lobby and invited her to record an Al Green cover. Her performance stopped him in his tracks—“you sound like a 70-year-old black man!”—drawing comparisons to Teenie Hodges of the Hi Rhythm Section. He then told her, “You could make records.” And that’s what she did.
