- **Event Description**: Step into Cooktown’s past as The Spirits of Cooktown returns to the Cooktown Pioneer Cemetery for its third year.

Presented by Box Jelly Theatre Company, this unique community theatre experience brings the stories, characters and lives connected to the cemetery to life through theatre, music and performance.

Set among the historic gravesites after dark, audiences will be taken on an atmospheric journey through Cooktown’s rich and colourful history, hearing local stories in the very place where much of that history rests.

Tickets
On sale from Friday 11 September 2020.

Bookings are required for all attendees, including children.

Please note, the performances are not suitable for children under six years of age.

Want to be part of the performance?
Local actors, singers and musicians aged 13 years and over are invited to help bring Cooktown’s history to life as part of this year’s production.
Whether you have performed before, can carry a tune, play an instrument or simply want to try something completely different, this is a chance to take part in a unique local theatre experience.
