• Do I need sewing experience?
No sewing experience needed! This class is beginner friendly.

• What should I bring?
Please bring one clothing item you’d like to mend. Think along the lines of jeans, jackets, flannels, tote bags, and similar fabrics work best.

• What is sashiko?
Sashiko is a traditional Japanese stitching technique originally used to reinforce and repair fabric that has become both practical and artistic over time.

• Are materials included?
Yes! Thread, patches, needles, and all mending materials are provided. You just bring your item to apply the mending technique.

• Will I finish my project during class?
Most attendees will leave with a completed or nearly completed mend plus the skills to continue future repairs at home.
