Curious about BattleTech but not sure where to start? Or maybe you have played before and want a relaxed way to jump back in. Game Goblins is hosting a BattleTech Alpha Strike Learn and Open Play Day designed to make getting into the game easy, approachable, and fun.
BattleTech can feel intimidating at first with its universe, miniatures, and rules. This event is focused on breaking everything down into manageable steps, answering questions, and giving players hands on experience without pressure. Whether you are brand new, returning after a break, or just looking for a casual day of games, this event is a great way to connect with the community.
How it Works
Learn to Play Demos
Demo tables will be set up throughout the day for Alpha Strike games
Learn the core rules, movement, combat, and objectives
No experience required
We will have BattleMech models on hand
for demos so you can play without bringing anything
Experienced players will be available to teach and answer questions
Open Play
Players who already know the game are welcome to bring their own forces
Casual Alpha Strike games throughout the day
Great opportunity to meet other BattleTech players and try new lists
