Following up the international success of 'Rhumba Country', Pokey LaFarge is embarking on a SOLO tour this January through March, and the Majestic Theatre is honored to be included as part of the tour. He will be playing an intimate set and reimagining songs from his nine-album catalog as well as new interpretations of Gospel, Rock & Roll, and Country classics.
Pokey LaFarge is an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist celebrated for his dynamic revival of traditional American music, seamlessly blending early jazz, blues, ragtime, and country with a modern sensibility. His distinctive, "old-timey" sound was shaped by extensive travels as a young busker and his deep exploration of classic Americana, influenced by blues legends and the rich musical heritage of his adopted home of St. Louis. LaFarge gained wider recognition after signing with Jack White's Third Man Records, a partnership that led to his eponymous 2013 album and extensive touring. Known for his engaging stage presence and storytelling lyrics, he has continued to evolve his sound on albums like Manic Revelations and 2024's Rhumba Country, demonstrating a persistent curiosity for new rhythms while remaining a master of vintage American styles.
