- **Event Description**: In this one-part workshop participants will create decorative scarves using cyanotype printing. Participants will be introduced to the scientific concepts behind the process (photosensitive chemistry) as well as learn about the history of the technique's use in relation to photography, as an early method of documentation used in the science and engineering fields, and as an art medium.

All materials will be provided but participants are encouraged to bring any image-casting objects for their design (any small, interestingly shaped objects that can be laid flat work well. Think: Flowers and leaves, keys, jewelry and chains, shells, feathers, doilies, small stencils and cut-out font). Workshop is open to those 15+ years of age.

Please dress accordingly as the workshop will be held partially outdoors and participants will be handling running water.   
The library is asking a $5 supply fee to offset costs of the program.  Please pay with cash at the circulation desk ahead of the program.
