A “transit” is looking at where the stars are right now in relation to where they were at the time of your birth. It is a conversation between your birth chart and the chart of the moment. Knowing the planets’ cycles is one way that we can get a sense of what might be coming up in our lives. 

You may have heard that we are going through several huge shifts Astrologically right now. Saturn changed signs in February (happens every ~3 years) Neptune changed signs at the end of January (happens every ~12 years) and Uranus is changing signs this April (happens every ~8 years). In this workshop, we will be taking a look at how these outer planet transits have been impacting us and preparing for what their new placements might bring. 

This will be an incredibly fascinating investigation of our lives, and it may just change how you understand time and what you think about the nature of the universe. 

The first half of the workshop will be a presentation on key concepts, and in the second half we will look at participants’ birth charts as examples of how to apply the techniques we learned. You will be able to ask questions about your particular birth chart and get help interpreting it from a professional astrologer. You will also leave with a printed copy of the powerpoint slides, a copy of your birth chart, and other helpful worksheets to support your Astrological learning. 

About the Astrologer

Aleena is a full-time, professional Astrologer, Yoga Teacher, and Artist. She's been studying the stars since college, where she completed her bachelors of science in physics at Yale in 2016 with a thesis in cosmology, using stars to map the history of the universe and predict its future. Aleena has always taken symbolism very seriously, but it wasn't until later in her 20s that she found out her inclinations and approach to interpreting everything she learned in physics symbolically wasn’t some far-out delusion, but a natural human impulse that has been practiced for at least 4,000 years across every culture. As an astrologer, Aleena specializes in timing: helping people study their pasts to get a sense of their future using many ancient Hellenistic “Time Lord” techniques. She has a special passion for helping healers, creatives, change-makers and those who understand or are interested in the relationship between inner and outer world transformation.
