Lunch will be provided.Free Water Well ScreeningThe Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District (LSGCD), in partnership with the Texas Well Owner Network (TWON), will offer complimentary water well screening for private water wells located in Montgomery County, Texas.Please note: All groundwater wells in Montgomery County are required to be registered with LSGCD.Water samples will be screened for contaminants, including:Total coliform bacteriaE. coliNitrate-nitrogenSalinityAfter registration is complete, participants will receive instructions regarding the screening process, sample collection, sample drop-off date, and drop-off location. Screening results will be provided during the LSGCD Symposium, where Dr. Joel Pigg of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and TWON coordinator, will lead an educational session titled “Well Informed.” The session will cover water well basics, Water Wells 101, water quality, and an explanation of participants’ sample results.Program Eligibility & RegistrationTo participate in the complimentary water well screening, you must:Have one or more registered exempt private water wells located in Montgomery County, Texas.At checkout, select “Water Well Screening” when placing your LSGCD Symposium ticket order.Tickets to the LSGCD Symposium are free of charge. However, space and funding for the water well screening are limited.
