- **Event Description**: Every funeral I attend reminds me that regardless of how long or how much I have lived death is a certainty. But with the certainty of death is the nagging question of the ages, once ask by the ancient sage Job, "If a man die, will he live again?" Job 14:14.

Some say "No." They will say that all we are is dust in the wind. We came out of the dust for a brief moment of consciousness that quickly ends back in dust and black nothingness forever.

Others simply say when we die we will be like the dog Rover, dead all over.

Benjamin Franklin, a noted writer and publisher in his day, wrote his own epitaph, suggesting he believed in life after death. "The Body of B. Franklin, Printer Like the Cover of an old Book Its contents torn out, And stript of its Lettering and Guilding, Lies here, Food for Worms, But the Work shall not be wholly lost: For it will, as he believ'd, Appear once more In a new & more perfect Edition, Corrected and amended by the Author."

Is death a final period or a mere comma, a brief  pause to life? Will all the years and tears be in vain; will my final breath be a whimper of surrender to an eternal void or the triumphant shout into another life?
